The incumbent is responsible for starting up the School’s alumni club including developing, planning and conducting all alumni-related activities and programs aimed to enhance the School and the Alumni Association. Reporting to CRM Director, he/ she will work in close cooperation with the School’s academic and administrative leadership, soliciting alumni giving and serving as a liaison between the Alumni Association and the academic and administrative leadership of the School.
Responsibilities:
Designs and develops alumni programs and activities in conjunction with the School’s academic and administrative leadership
Coordinates alumni communications, including writing/editing of alumni newsletters and/or magazines
Processes all incoming payments for alumni programs and giving campaigns, develops new opportunities for income, manages existing and/or additional alumni programs, services and communications
Develops alumni database
Designs alumni internet resources, writes and manages materials for the alumni website, facilitates discussions, forums, round-tables and alumni social networking in accordance with existing students & alumni interests & requests
Represents the Alumni club of Skolkovo officially on external events
In collaboration with colleagues, he/ she plans, implements and promotes alumni programs that support the School s strategic plan
Establishes and builds relationships with a wide range of alumni, locally, regionally, nationally and internationally; maintain regular communication with alumni via direct contact, email, alumni web pages, and print publications
Educates graduating students about alumni benefits and engage them in alumni programs
Partners with the Career Development & Admission department to spearhead the introduction of alumni involvement in the admission process; to plan the growth and accessibility of career networking services for students and alumni
Collaborates closely with Development colleagues in increasing support from alumni; routinely identifies and qualifies alumni prospects for gifts
Oversees and balances the budget for Alumni Relations
Raises funds for selecting special projects and events in collaboration with colleagues
Provides guidance to alumni volunteer
Job Requirements:
Higher education is required; MBA degree will be an additional advantage
Ability to understand and relate to the interests of present and former students
A minimum of two years of applicable experience in developing relevant projects (alumni association, innovative internet community, volunteer leadership, etc) with a proven track record of success
Strong facility and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, PPT, etc.)
Strong written communications skills, with particular emphasis and experience in news writing and persuasive writing
Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills, together with the ability to work collaboratively and courteously with colleagues throughout the School, alumni, other constituents and public bodies
Experience with multimedia presentations
Ability to work with diverse groups and engage in interpersonal contact with a wide variety of internal and external constituencies
Excellent time management skills and a commitment to serving the School’s community
The demonstrated ability to implement and build constituency programs and activities, along with a talent for motivating volunteers
Demonstrably strong planning and organizational skills
Ability to organize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously with close attention to detail and prioritization to meet deadlines
Ability to travel and work evenings and weekends as needed
