Job description:The Head of Equities is responsible for the development and implementation of a high-quality investment process for Russian equities and ultimately for the performance of the core Russian equity products.
To manage and supervise the activities of the Russian equity team in order to develop & manage equity portfolios that integrate research and analysis output while matching the company s strategy and policies, as well as client and legal requirements.
The Head of Equities is supported by a team of portfolio managers (idea generation and management of sector funds), research analysts (with sector responsibility), and portfolio constructors (index funds and equity parts of segregated accounts).

The job is to report directly to the CIO of the company
Who we are looking for:A candidate who has:
- Minimum of 10yrs experience in portfolio management with a recognised asset management company.
- Minimum of 6yrs experience with Russian equities. Additional experience as a research analyst and/ or international experience a benefit.
- The role holder will have broad commercial skills and a good business understanding, as well as strong communication skills
- Minimum of 4yrs experience of leading an investment team
- High quality degree level education, likely MBA or equivalent MSc. CFA and/ or partially international education a benefit
- Russian and English communication skills a requirement
- Rigor and strategic thinking with focus on continuous improvement.
- Good team leader and coach, who can invoke motivation in their team
