Media manager for a leading transnational company - VV
POSITION TITLE: Media Manager
REPORT TO : Marketing Director?CP Russia
DEPARTMENT: Marketing
LOCATION: Moscow
Purpose statement:
- Responsible for developing, planning and managing media strategies for Russia based on clear understanding on the company goal, business strategy, marketing objectives, competitive environment and media scene development.
Major responsibility:
- Develop, monitor and manage annual media budget. Maximize budget effectiveness to reach target consumers via 360 marketing;
- Work with Brand Group and Global Media Dept. to develop media strategies. Balance global vs. local strategies;
- Review and work out potential media options with Brand Group and management;
- Keep abreast of rapid media change and performance of local media channels;
- Explore and assess media buying opportunities. Source local intelligence on competitive movements;
- Supervise media team and work with Brand Group on all media related issues;
- Monitor and review media agencies’ performance to ensure obtaining the quality services as stipulated in agency’s agreement;
- Negotiate annual commitment and terms & conditions with all media channels;
- Optimize media mix.

Education and /or expereicne:
- Education: University Degree or above / MBA is desirable
- Experience: 5 years of increasing media responsibilities
Special Knowledge:
Media Plan Development
- Coordinate with agency to develop media plan to ensure timely completion
- Ensure media briefs that reflect media requirement for product groups
Media Opportunity and Evaluation
- Assess how media activities deliver media goals
- Evaluate media effectiveness using a variety of tools
- Identify media opportunities based on current media/trends
- Recommend media alternative to cost saving or increase media exposure
Competitive Analysis
- Evaluate impact of competitive media/creative/promotional activities on category/brand strategy
- Identify impact of key competitive media strategies

- Seek inputs and commitment from cross-functional teams for media implementation
- Demonstrate team influence techniques to complete approved media vs. timetables, action plans

- Draw out key inputs, such as pricing and promotion from team members
- Exhibit strong communication strategies in disseminating results
- Build the company as a key media partner with communication channels and industry as a whole
