One of the leading Russian companies is looking for Vice-President, Product Control to join the team of professionals.
*As part of expansion of Product Control function within the Company, an opportunity arose for several enthusiastic and capable professionals to join Product Control team to further build and develop the function in Equity and Debt products areas.
*The remit of product control covers front to back processing of transactions, daily P&L production and reporting, analysis and explanation of the P&L, including P&L attribution process, balance sheet review, determination and justification of reserves, price testing, contribution to the sign off of new products.
*The product control function whilst first and foremost an independent control function will need to work with and partner the business focussing on reducing operational risk and providing value added support assisting with the management of business growth.
*This is a reflection of increased volumes, the complexity of the booking and accounting processes and the need to ensure uniform best practice across the group.

*Ownership of the P&L and balance sheet production process and integrity of the reported numbers for all major debt or equity derivative and non-derivative products, in particular:· calculation of the daily and monthly P&L numbers for all traded products
*Verification of reported P&L numbers, including detailed monthly price testing
*Reconciliation of reported B/S and P&L figures to sub-ledgers/ source data
*Reserve calculation and review· ownership and explanation of the composition of Balance Sheet items· explanation of daily P&L through P&L attribution into "greeks" and commentaries for the business enabling informed decision taking
*Serve as a point of contact for the business to discuss P&L and B/S results, valuation, reserving, price testing and other issues
*Involvement in review and approval of new products/ structured transactions from the product control perspective
*Other ad hoc responsibilities

*Graduate from the top technical or finance universities
*Good academics is a must
*Strong mathematical background
*Strong analytical skills
*Basic equity or fixed income derivative and non-derivative product knowledge, including high level understanding of major valuation techniques
*Understanding of investment banking and trading business
PREFERRED
*ACCA, or ACCA finalist
*MBA or similar secondary education
*Understanding of the front-to-back P&L and balance sheet reporting process
*Understanding of IFRS
*3 to 4 years experience as an accountant/ finance clerk in a bank, preferably with exposure to bonds, equities, derivatives, or
*3 to 4 years experience in banking divisions, preferably within derivative valuations or risk functions
*Advanced spreadsheet skills
*Fluent in English
